ICANN declared that recently it will commence Internationalized Domain Names that are based on growth so far and future work. At present, ICANN is carrying out laboratory tests to find out the promptness of the root zone file and other related root servers and resolvers to put up or act upon IDNs. After completion, the consequences will be publicized on ICANN’s website. The test design is likely to be accessible for public analysis in November, and the live root zone tests will be channeled and prepared for investigation by next month. Paul Twomey, President and CEO of ICANN said, “ICANN has a clear process for the introduction of IDNs. There is much intense work being done by ICANN committees and the Internet Engineering Task Force. That includes IETF standards, testing and rules discussions. A substantial amount of this work is now coming to fruition.”
