According to BBC News, a Beijing court cleared the Chinese search engine Baidu of copyright infringement.

Many major music brands including Sony BMG, EMI, Warner Music and Universal Music took legal action against the Baidu.com, because their SERPs link to sites hosting the music files’ illegal copies.

If the music companies win, and Baidu will be found guilty of copyright infringement, and the search engine may come to halt. Now, the music companies are waiting for the ruling.
