Commerce Planet, publicly traded media company has acquired a colocation facility, Interaccurate, a developer for Commerce Planet's outsourced software needs.

The acquirement offers up an intellectual property tools to Commerce Planet to raise their operational efficiency.

According to the company, Interaccurate assisted with the creation of Commerce Planet's underlying technologies for www.MyOnlineChat.com, WebBuilder, DatIntel and other marketing and sales tools.

The acquisition deal was completed on October 3, 2006. In addition to acquiring software intellectual property, the company has also adopted ownership of the web hosting facility that presently executes Commerce Planet's online traffic.

Charlie Gugliuzza, President of Commerce Planet said, “First by completing this acquisition we will see an immediate impact to our bottom line. Interaccurate was the provider for WebBuilder, the software product basis for our top performing product www.OnlineSupplier.com. This acquisition will eliminate the licensing and hosting fees previously paid to Interaccurate. Second, this acquisition dramatically supplements our programming capabilities and decreases our reliance on yet another third party service provider. Commerce Planet is well on its way to achieving complete operational independence. Finally, we expect to see new revenue streams develop by leveraging Commerce Planet's existing customer base with Interaccurate's software technologies and development capabilities.”
